A client came across an old Windows 98se computer they had in the garage. They wanted to use it for an internet computer for their kids. The computer, apart from being outdated, was stable and usable. It was also minus a network card, previously using a dial up modem. Quick network card install and now the old desktop has another lease on life.
There are some things to note though, its still running Internet Explorer 5.5, and software is no longer being produced to support Windows 98.
I have found an Anti Virus to run on Windows 98. A better alternative would be to install a desktop linux variety.
